APAN 56

I had the privilege of working as a Web Developer Intern at Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN), the host of the APAN56 meeting. This prestigious event, held at the iconic Colombo Galle Face Hotel, served as a global platform for knowledge-sharing in technology. It featured workshops, training programs, keynote speeches, tutorials, and, for the first time, the APAN56 Research Conference.

In addition to my web development role, I also had the honor of serving as an Intern Committee Member and contributing to the event’s visual design. This experience allowed me to work across web development, event coordination, and creative design, gaining exposure to multiple aspects of event execution.

  • Ensured a responsive, user-friendly interface for participants accessing event details online
  • Managed content updates to provide real-time information on workshops, keynote sessions, and research presentations
  • Assisted in maintaining the website’s performance, accessibility, and mobile compatibility
  • Designed the main screen illustration displayed during the event, ensuring a professional and visually appealing presentation
  • Created the photo booth backdrop, enhancing the event’s branding and engagement opportunities for attendees

As an Intern Committee Member:

  • Assisted in the overall event coordination and logistics
  • Engaged with event attendees, speakers, and organizers to facilitate smooth operations

Key Takeaways

  • Gained practical experience in WordPress & Elementor, reinforcing my web development skills

Being part of APAN56 was more than just an internship it was an inspiring journey filled with learning, challenges, and achievements. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an event of this scale and to work under the guidance of industry experts at LEARN.
